Editor's Note
As I sit before the Computer, Typewriter, or even take a pen in hand to once again put forth some written words to express what should be an interesting bit of information for you the readers. It has come to mind that I have been at this task for over 10 years and I still don’t have any idea of what to write. A couple of years ago some said that I sometimes had a soap box that I would get on and basically preach about a change or idea that required some additional attention. Since everything is running pretty smooth at Moose 16, right now there is nothing to preach about. Membership is up. Connellsville Moose Lodge 16 now has over 650 members. The Woman of the Moose are really sending a message to all other Chapters, that with cooperation between themselves and with the members of a Lodge a good solid working relationship can be achieved and accomplished for the advancement of the Moose Principals. The amount of charity giving for both the Men and the Women is out-standing and unequaled by any other social organization within the area. I would also like to add that the Women are some of the best cooks that can be had. As feedback from various members and guests of the banquets that have been prepared by our WOTM the only comment is “Tremendous”. My hat is off to you lovely ladies. Until later…..

Mission Four of the Moose: Create Some Interest Membership Campaign Comes to a Close

Mission Four of the Moose: Create Some Interest membership campaign has come to a close. For each application submitted from February 1 – April 30, 2012, sponsors received an entry in a drawing to win a home entertainment system, which contained a flat screen TV, a Blu-ray DVD player and a surround sound system. There were 13 weekly drawings held during the incentive period.

Each winning sponsor’s Lodge also benefited from his efforts, as the Lodge received a 60-inch flat screen TV for the Lodge home. Any applications sponsored during this incentive program also qualified for awards under the Moose: Create Some Interest membership campaign. The full list of winners is featured below.
